Interview of Alok Sir
INTERVIEW OF Prof. ( Er. ) Alok Kumar (ALOK SIR) By : Our Indian Corespondent :::::::::::::::::::

Dear Friends ,

I am your beloved lecturer, still learning daily New Thoughts and Latest TechnologyTeaching up gradation in Mechanical Engineering and Technology, Technical Adventures including Astrophysics, Life- Planning of an Engineer, Best Mechanical Gardening and Making my own dream projects under umbrella of SHAKTISHALI FOUNDATION and

" SHAKTISHALI " Youth - Brigade (Yuva Sena)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sir ! What classes do you teach?

Alok Sir : For more than five years now, I have been teaching Industrial Management , Installation Maintenance Thermodynamics , Applied Mechanics , Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Drawing ,Workshop Technology , Production & Costing for Diploma & Graduate Engineering students .

I am also teaching Industrial Engineering, Energy Resources & Utilization, Power Plant Engineering mainly to final year B.E. students.

This year I 've also teaching Engineering Drawing, Engineering Mechanics , Mechanical Engineering for the first time in Gaya District which is for Diploma and B.E. Students majoring in something other than science.

Do you have a favorite?

Alok Sir : I do not think I can say I have any favourite.

Each level of these classes satisfies a different part of me.

Do you have a specific lecture style?

Alok Sir : I definitely have a certain lecture style.

I emphasize conceptual understanding rather than mechanical memorisation.

To that end, I try to attract the type of students to join my classes who are willing to do the "Mechanical walk" to understand the mystery of our universe and feel the joy that results from such understanding and appreciation.

I encourage the students who join my classes to participate in a Socratic dialogue.

"In a Socratic dialogue, the "teacher never answers the question directly".

Instead of giving an answer to the student's question, the teacher replies with a question until the student sees the answer him/herself, until the answer comes from the teacher who lives within the student, until the student becomes the teacher him/herself.

We must prepare these students the best way we can.

It is a great pleasure to meet them at the institute and see them working.

What are your research or other scientific interests?

Alok Sir : During the last several years,my research has been more towards better methods of teaching.

Also in writing in science & technology.

In general, how students can be more successful in maintaining sustainable happiness and real personal growth.

To that end, with the help of one of my past students like
Armaan, Mahi, Nidhi, Neha, Sonu, Akanksha, Rina etc.

There is now a website with a lot of material related to

" Success in Engineering College and After Engineering College "

How to Get and Stay on Mechanical Engineering "

In addition, I am starting to teach freshmen in a seminar with the above title every quarter.

That seminar grow out of informal lectures I used to give every quarter on important topics.

My other scientific interests are in green chemistry, energy & environment etc…...

How did you get interested in life planning?

Alok Sir : That is a good question.

I feel I could write a series of books on the subject.

As always is the case, any one of us suddenly can become a living spring of water from his/her life experiences.

In my case, I always liked teaching and learning.

I knew that from my first college years.

But life circumstances caused me to drift away to work in various other work environments related to chemistry.

Being so thirsty for expression and the discovery of human nature,I could not take being away from an academic teaching environment anymore.

The issue became an issue of life and death; it was so strong.

So I suddenly started on the new path by choosing to leave a very high-paying permanent position to take several temporary very low-paying positions.

I know it sounds crazy but it happened, and it had a great impact on all the members of my family.

I was very lucky to have the full support of my family.

What advice would you give a student on how best to choose a good career?

Alok Sir : I would like to keep this answer short so anyone
who reads this will always remember it,No Pain, No Gain.

It is not without pain that we come to know who we are.

By finding out who we are more every day, it is possible to "dowhat we are.

And by doing what we are, we are definitely home, gravitating effortlessly towards total success.

Unfortunately, to have total success in life, inwardly and outwardly,a high GPA is not enough.

Only if your personality type matches with what you are doing, where, how, when and with whom, then real success is within your reach.

Therefore, I say to my students that if you want to be a success, know who you are.

Do you have any hobbies?

Alok Sir :Yes, I have several hobbies.

I love taking walks and spending time in nature.

I encourage my students to get gardens so they can recalibrate themselves after studying and feel good about themselves.

Some of them have responded positively.

with the soil and the plants.

If you go to my personal website ( blog):
http://proferalokkumar.blogspot.com/
you will see several pictures of some of my hobbies.

I also started to take a class on how to develop yourself with new thoughts and now I am making it from all natural components.

In order to encourage my students to have hobbies,
I thought of the "Natural Talent Award" as I call it.

For each class I teachat the end, the student with the highest score gets a handy Gifts selected by me.

When they come to me to pick up their award, while I am carving the "life curve" on it,I have the opportunity to tell them face to face how important it is to know themselves.

I consider it very important especially for the students with high GPAs to be balanced in life.

After all, most of them will end up in leadership positions and many people will be affected by their decisions.

Who is your favourite scientist?

Alok Sir :Albert Einstein is my favourite scientist.

The reason is that he spoke about our favourite person, Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, not only for his contribution to science, but also for his excellent personality and life values, which perhaps most people are not aware of, including his consideration for the well-being of others and our environment.

"Generations to come will scarcely believe that such a one as this walked the earth in flesh and blood," - Albert Einstein, regarding Mohandas Gandhi.

Do you have a favourite quote?

Alok Sir You Must Be The Change You Wish To See In The World

Biography ka question

Shaktishali Foundation “There are a lot of things that go into creating success. I don't like to do just the things I like to do. I like to do things that cause the Shaktishali Foundation to succeed. I don't spend a lot of time doing my favorite activities. Have fun, work hard and money will come. Don’t waste time – grab your chances. Have a positive outlook on life. When it’s not fun, move on." Eralokkumar SHAKTISHALI FOUNDATION How It All Began I like to tell this story because it tells a bit about who we are and how it all started. My lovely and inspiring Mother, being the wonderfully organized person she is, set about answering every question in the book. She gave it back to me on my birthday in September, nearly two months later. I remember opening the book and seeing her answers to so many questions I never would have thought to ask her. I burst into tears (I've only done that one other time in my life) and realized that I was holding one of my most prized p...

Eralokkumar’s Presentation Information --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to Remember Your Speech without Memorizing We all fear that moment when we speak to audiences. You look out on a sea of faces and your mind goes blank. You can't remember your next point and you wish you could disappear with your memory. You can avoid blanking out when you know how to maximize your mind. These tips will help you achieve total recall of your talk: Rehearse out loud. You'll remember more when you hear your own voice. Tape it and play it back. Listen to it in the car or as you fall asleep. 2. Practice the 3x5, 3x5 Rules. Avoid one lengthy rehearsal. Instead, take short chunks and practice them 3 to 5 times a day for 3 to 5 days. Frequency of repetition aids memory. 3. Create key words and phrases . The idea is to memorize concepts-not words.
